Gardenia – Hot (Whey Fermented)

At Old Stonehouse, our Gardenia-Hot is made with organic ingredients, when available. The same great combination of vegetables, cauliflower, red bell pepper, red onion, carrots, sea salt and whey with the addition of dried Arbol Chili Peppers for a little heat. Packed in pint jars.

Whey fermenting, or lacto-fermentation, has many benefits beyond simple preservation.  The proliferation of lactobacilli in fermented vegetables enhances their digestibility and increases vitamin levels. Good for the gut!
