GF Harvest was started by Seaton, Jill, and Forrest Smith. Forrest, was diagnosed celiac at age 2 but only with the diagnosis they lacked guidance, and most of all, lacked reliable trusted sources of food.
With his Celiac diagnosis, Forrest decided to seek a trusted solution for his restrictive diet. This led him into an innovative high school project which resulted in the founding of glutenfreeoats.com and GF Harvest. They became the first domestic source of natural and organic oats for folks on a gluten free diet.
The Smith’s began looking for partners in their expanding operation. Dale and Noriko Tenhulzen aligned with the mission of GF Harvest and partnered with the Smith’s to continue providing gluten-free oat products around the US. When the Smith’s retired, Dale and Noriko have continued the work for the celiac community.
