Heart Mountain Creations was supposed to sell t-shirts – at least that’s how things started. Wyoming native Cindy Gifford wanted to hearten and encourage women fighting breast cancer after surviving her own battle, and inspiring tees were the way to do it. But after selling her shirts at the Cody Farmers’ Market, she was the one who got inspired. And that inspiration took a whole different direction – shrubs and vinegars. 

Cindy had previously learned to make infused vinegars in a class taught by a friend. Time spent at the market showed here there might be some demand for her concoctions, and the fun began! Sourced with organic herbs and fruits in an organic apple cider vinegar base, the vinegars were an instant hit. Customers appreciated that the unique infustions were tasty and healthy, great for salad dressings, marinades, and more. So Cindy expanded to crafting shrubs (old fashioned drinking vinegars), adding the sweetness of organic cane sugar or monkfruit to her vinegar creations to develop a delicious mixer for cocktails and non-alcoholic refreshments. The best news is that now those bottles of goodness are available to anyone!

But lest you wonder whether Cindy forgot what launched he on this journey in the first place, you should know that she donates 10% of her sales to Casting for Recovery, a non-profit that gives free, outdoor, healing retreats to women fighting breast cancer. Inspiring indeed.
