At Old Stonehouse, our Spicy Dill Pickle Spears are made with organic Persian cucumbers, when available, sometimes referred to as mini cucumbers, dill, garlic, mustard seed, red pepper flakes, sea salt and whey. Not too much heat, just enough to really make the other flavors pop! Packed in quart jars.

Whey fermenting, or lacto-fermentation, has many benefits beyond simple preservation.  The proliferation of lactobacilli in fermented vegetables enhances their digestibility and increases vitamin levels. Good for the gut!
