Cackleberry Farm & Garden

As a teen Devon Olsen was dissapointed to discover what he deemed unsavory practices in both the regulatory and production side of agriculture. Concerned these alarming tactics might destroy not only soils and ecosystems, but also possibly erode the lives and liberties of those involved, he set out to find a better way. Olsen sought to enrich the soil, the environment, and the lives of both the farmer and the consumer. He wanted to be a part of regeneration, a regrowth of what farming could be and should be. So Olsen founded Cackleberry Farm & Garden in 2016 just north of Casper.
What began with pasture-raised chickens has grown to include grass-fed lamb, fresh-cut microgreens and shoots, and the eponymous cackleberry (yes, it’s an egg). By focusing his animals on grass, with regular movement, impact and rest, along with consideration for wildlife, Olsen aims to provide the Casper area with fresh, nutrient dense food while healing local soils, ecosystems and the community.
Proud to be “uninspected, uncertified, and unregulated,” Cackleberry Farm & Garden invited the customer to be the inspector of their high-quality, naturally grown products.
